Summer in the Country. The small stone house at Pech Farguet is perched on a bluff overlooking the Dordogne River valley, a mile from the lovely 16th century village of Carennac. After 23 summers enjoying it, we sold the house in December 2009. Of course we’ll come back soon to see our many friends.

We enjoy the Quercy region for its unspoiled stone villages, daily markets with fresh produce, romantic castles, and friendly people.

See Quercy for links to detail on its varied landscapes, ancient towns, regional food, and cultural life. Learn about our friends and see what we came to love.

Paris. No trip to France would be complete for us without a few days there. Here is a page of links and pictures that will give you a feel for our favorite haunts and activities in Paris.
